Application: Peptidylarginine deiminase is an enzyme that converts arginine to citrulline.
BACKGROUND
Peptidylarginine deiminase has been used in a study evaluating a promising novel biomarker for the early diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis. Studies have also been conducted to investigate the autopathogenic association of periodontitis and rheumatoid arthritis.
